My name is Kelly Miloro. I'm a mom of a college junior and a wife of twenty-seven years. We have three cats--not the same three I wrote about before. We lost two of our oldest cats, and adopted a tiny black kitten that has turned into a giant black cat, and a tiny grey kitten that has turned into a tiny grey cat named Fred.

I've been working in the arts & crafts field for twenty-seven + years, selling at shows, festivals, and an occasional gift shop. I've been working exclusively with this medium, under the name Shades of Clay since about 1992.

All of my work is individually sculpted from polymer clay. Although it's much prettier, chemically the substance is similar to a PVC pipe used in your plumbing. It's a very versatile material, able to be mixed for endless color combinations; shaped and then baked in a conventional oven. There is no paint to wear off, all the color is in the clay itself. The end result is durable, waterproof and lovely!

All of the earring posts are surgical steel.
The dangle earrings are silver or gold plated over surgical steel.
The clip earrings may contain nickel, which can bother those who are sensitive to it.
Each item is handmade without a mold. Small variations may occur.
If at any time the hardware in your jewelry is faulty, return for repair free of charge.
If you are interested in a matching set, consider ordering them at the same time. Clay colors can vary slightly from batch to batch, and while you can buy matching sets at different times, you will be guaranteed a perfect color match if we can send them out together.
